You don’t have to be a Kardashian to be an influencer.
I come from a family of advertising gurus, but I’ve never spent a cent on promoting my business. Why? Because my best clients have always found me via the holy grail of marketing: personal referrals. And quite frankly, if I’m going to invest in advertising, I’d rather give those resources to you, not Google.
I’ve come up with the following rewards program to promote my services to more writers, support my writing community, and help your editing budget go that much further.
If you have directly experienced my editing services, I invite you to complete some or all of the tasks below, and I will deduct the relevant discount from your invoice.
- Include a link to my website on your author or blog site: $50 discount
- Post a 400-word blog piece about your editing journey that includes a brief mention and website link: $150 discount
- Include a shout-out in your next newsletter, with a link to my site: $30 discount
- Refer a friend: $150 discount
- Donate $25 to my favorite literacy charity, Room to Read: $35 discount
- Buy one of my client’s books and post an honest review: $35 discount
In most cases, there is a four to 12-week wait between confirming your dates and the commencement of your edit. This period is a great opportunity to challenge yourself to complete as many of the tasks above before you receive your final invoice.
Terms and conditions? They’re pretty simple. Each task can only be claimed once (with the exception of friend referrals) and the offer is open to clients who are investing a minimum of $500 in editing services. To confirm your discount, you simply need to send me a link, receipt, or screenshot of your action. For friend referrals, the discount is applied once your friend has booked and completed their own editing project. To date, one of my clients has reduced their editing costs by $500+ through referrals alone.
So put on your influencer hat, utilize your platform, and let’s start editing your fabulous book!
